We provide flight training for the
FAA Sport Pilot Seaplane Endorsement

In addition to our training programs for Sport Pilot and Private Pilot Licenses at Wings of Paradise, we have trained seaplane pilots for more than 16 years.

If you hold a valid and current Light Sport Pilot or Private Pilot license, in as little as five hours of flight training you can meet the requirements for the Single Engine Sea endorsement. You will be given instruction in: basic water handling, including idle, plow and step taxi procedures; normal takeoff and landing from the water; crosswind, rough water and glassy water techniques; maximum performance procedures; emergency operation; docking and sailing.

Total cost for the course is $1,350 prepaid. This includes five hours of dual flight instruction on floats and the examiner's fee, and can be accomplished within a three-day period, conditions permitting. Ground School will utilize the Gleim Seaplane Rating Course, and all training will be done as prescribed under the FAA practical test standards for seaplanes.
